The advantages and benefits of a dedicated team
When purchasing a laser script machine from ourselves, unlike importing a machine direct from overseas, our service doesn’t end there at the point of order. With a dedicated team of engineers, not only do we set up, we also train and support our customers in getting the best from your equipment.
Step 1. When ordering a machine we want to make sure you are ordering something that is perfect for your needs. The first steps into the world of laser cutting and engraving are exciting ones and for some, open up a world of imagination. We also offer demonstrations on site in Elland on Fridays which are open to anyone, we would be very happy to hear from you if you would like to attend.
Step 2. Scheduling and planning the delivery. We recently overhauled the logistics department, brought new staff in and overhauled our processes to better serve all customers and aim to be as efficient as possible. Quick and accurate correspondence is the key, relevant forms emailed straight away and then we can offer you a convenient date and allocate a qualified experienced engineer out to you.
Step 3. Delivery and installation is something we take pride in, not only do we get your machine installed, we will train up to 5 members of staff at that point, and we won’t leave until you are happy with operating and maintaining the laser machine. We give advice on how to look after the different aspects of your machine, to get the most out of it and to make sure how to set up in other locations.
Step 4. After sales. We recommend services to be done annually, we can offer further training for additional staff and call outs if and when required, for example to replace the laser tubes at the end of their lives. We are just a phone call or an email away. Unlike importing a machine, 1 advantage of purchasing a machine direct from HPC, we offer personal support to all of our customers with our onsite dedicated support department. We try and resolve any concerns over the phone and then we can get an engineer to visit, the very same ones that install, set up the machines and train all our customers.
Step 5. Have fun, enjoy the laser cutters and go wild with your imaginations.

How to look after your laser machine in the winter months.
The cold icy winter is definitely amongst us, we would like to offer some advice on how to properly maintain laserscript machines over the winter months.
1. Make sure the room where the machine is kept is above 0°C, especially at night time.
2. If the room temperature can’t be maintained over 0°C, ensure an approved anti-freeze is used and drain away the coolant at the end of the day when the operator has finished.
3. Use only an approved anti-freeze in the coolant circuit. We stock and sell a laser friendly anti-freeze. Please contact us for further details.
Please pay extra care and attention to your equipment as the seasons change.
Christmas and New year opening times.
Merry Christmas to all of our customers and everybody out there. We are fast approaching the Yuletide festivities, a time of family and enjoyment for many, but a time of thought and reflection for others.
We will be closing at midday on Wednesday 20th December and back open Tuesday 2nd January.
With the cold spell we are having at the moment, we want to make sure you are all wrapped up warm, and it isn’t only ourselves that need to be looked after in the slight chill. Our laser cutters just need a bit of care especially as the temperatures have dipped, we recommend to use an approved anti-freeze such as the one advertised on our website, we don’t advise to use types used for other purposes such as car anti-freeze. If you see the message EO2 on the chiller display, it just means that the water in the machine is running either too hot or too cold and can be easily rectified by the user.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year and we look forward to seeing you all in 2018.

Today is GCSE results day and many of our machines are used to contribute towards pupils course-work in Design & Technology.
CNC routers and laser engravers and cutters use computer-aided design (CAD) which needs to be programmed. If a product has been designed using a CAD programme such as the school favourite 2D design, this software can analyse the drawing and create the control program. The laser cutter can then be programmed to cut, score or etch by altering the speed and power for each coloured line. For example, by controlling the power and speed the machine could cut all the way through the material if the line is coloured red, whilst a line coloured black could be cut part way through (scored).
Laser machines can accurately position thousands of components per hour, and are much faster and more accurate than human workers and remove the risk of manual work such as using Stanley knives and saw blades etc.
